Keeping your cat cool: A cat that becomes overheated can suffer from dehydration and shallow breathing.

  • Put some ice cubes in their water bowl to ensure that the water is continuously cold. There’s nothing more refreshing than a cool drink on a hot day! Don’t forget to change the bowl frequently to avoid the growth of bacteria.CHINA-WEATHER-HEAT
  • Cool down your house. Use fans or air-conditioned to get the temperature down, especially if you plan on leaving your cat in the house for parts or the day.cat-fan
  • Freeze water bottles! This is a simple task you can do to keep your kitty cool. By freezing water bottles you can wrap them up in towels and lay next to your cat to cool them down.cats_and_snow_5

What not to do: Ensure you never have to make an emergency visit for a silly mistake!

  • DO NOT leave your cat in a parked car! Even with the windows open its still a heat chamber for animals and can be extremely dangerous!f
  • DO NOT forget to leave fresh water for your cat.b
  • DO NOT ignore signs of heat stroke! Sings include walking funny, panting, drooling, vomiting and red gums. Take the cat to the hospital ASAP if you notice these signs!
