On Saturday, May 26th, the Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons will host its annual Designer Show House cocktail party and sale at the ARF Thrift and Treasure Shop in Sagaponack!
The Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons isn’t just your usual animal adoption center…
ARF is about two hours away from New York City in East Hamptons, and although the Hamptons are known for being luxurious, fancy, and fabulous, it’s so much more! Plenty of precious animals still need a loving home. ARF has been trying to resolve this pup problem, and they’ve found a festive way – The Arf Thrift and Treasure Shop Designer Show House animal cocktail party benefit! Over 1,000 animals are placed in loving homes each year: and many animals have been saved since the Animal Rescue Fund put their paws to the cause!
The Thrift Shop will be transformed into an incredible designer show house featuring eight rooms and one outdoor space styled by some of New York’s most illustrious interior decorators. The event is Co-Chaired by Gordon H. Hoppe, Alex Papachristidis and Marshall Watson. All proceeds will benefit ARF and the organization’s dedicated work to find loving homes for animals in need.
The shop is a priority of the organization’s long term strategic planning as almost 10% of ARF’s annual operating budget comes from funds raised by the Thrift Shop. “Now in its eighth year, the ARF Designer Show House is a great kick-off to the summer season! We salute the designers who have brought such creativity to their assignment, and look forward to seeing everyone. Please bring your friends; it is a fun way to support the animals!” said Lisa McCarthy, ARF Board President.
The howling lineup of top designers, who will create rooms for the eighth annual show house, includes: Brady Design, Blue Carreon, Jack Deamer of JED Design, Richard Mishaan, Barbara Ostrom, Melanie Roy Design, Tom Samet and Nathan Wold of Hamptons House Design LLC, Kim Seybert, and Thayer’s Hardware & Patio. All the designers are animal lovers who are donating their time and expertise to help the ARF cats and dogs, who are less fortunate than their own beloved pets. Each room will feature Thrift Shop items and pieces donated from the designers’ own collections. Unlike traditional show houses, every item in the ARF designer show house will be for sale.

Don’t miss your chance to be a part of the special event, benefiting animals!
All proceeds from the Show House will benefit the Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons, Inc. (ARF), the leading no-kill animal shelter on eastern Long Island. The ARF Adoption Center is located in Wainscott, NY and open every day from 11 am to 4 pm. Since its founding in 1974, ARF has found loving homes for over 21,000 cats, kittens, dogs and puppies.
