This Saturday, June 17th, the Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons is hosting the 31st Annual Garden Tour!
The Animal Rescue Fund of the East Hampton isn’t just your regular adoption center…
ARF is about two hours away from New York City in the Eastern Hamptons, and although the Hamptons are known for being luxurious, fancy, and fabulous, not everything is perfect. Plenty of precious pups still needs a loving home. For the past 40 years, ARF has been trying to find a solution to this problem. Over 1,000 animals are placed in homes every year: animals that would have spent their (shortened) lives at puppy mills or high-kill shelters. So many animals have been saved since the Animal Rescue Fund put their paws to the cause!
No animal should be left in the cold without a place to go, and thanks for ARF, they don’t have to be. Compassion is a driving force within the no-kill shelter, and animals will be cared for and loved for as long as it takes to find them a home! Lots of the pooches are puppy mill rescues and they’re so lucky to have found a temporary place to stay with this loving team! These folks aren’t kittening around when they say they’re dedicated to the cause.
The 31st Annual Garden Tour is self-guided and ticket holders can view the gardens in any order. *This year the garden tour cocktail party will be on Friday night, June 16, from 6 pm to 8 pm, at the home of Libby and Shahab Karmely, built originally for Sarah Diodati Gardiner. This year’s event is co-chaired by Mark Fichandler and Barbara Slifka. Landscape Details is a proud sponsor of ARF’s Garden Tour. Their 100% organic tick spraying protects your pets and property.
All proceeds from the tour benefit the Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons, Inc. (ARF), the leading no-kill animal shelter on eastern Long Island. The ARF Adoption Center is located in Wainscott, NY and opens every day from 11 am to 4 pm. Since its founding in 1974, ARF has found loving homes for over 25,000 cats, kittens, dogs, and puppies.
