After a hot and steamy summer, Lucky Diamond is ready to bundle up and hit the town again with some new style, flair, and a whole lot of stories to share. Lucky recently attended one of the hottest events in town, the Tribeca Film Festival. The engines were running at the GM Drive-In where Lucky showed her aesthetic side while critiquing several of the new and much anticipated films presented.
At the Festival, Lucky raced around, doing what she does best, gathering the scoop and schmoozing! She caught up with the legendary actor, Robert DeNiro.
Lucky is anticipating an invitation to a playdate with Bobby DeNiro’s real life best friend, his Bernese Mountain Dog, Fluffy. Moreover, the petite Maltese also met another famed actor, Randy Quaid, who stars in the upcoming film Black Cadillac, produced by Miriam Flynn of National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation. Moving on, Lucky also met up with Ken Burns, the documentary filmmaker of Jazz and new film Horatio Drive. Since Lucky loved the film, she suggested to Ken to think of her dogumentary!
Off to TV land, Lucky found herself meeting two of the finest television personalities. Lucky worked herself up an appetite while meeting Morimoto, otherwise known as the Iron Chef on the Food Network. Lucky suggested that the Japanese chef create a new doggie dish for all those furry viewers out there. Newcomer Alex Corrado, maitre d’ at Rocco’s and on the reality television show The Restaurant, recently had the pleasure of acquainting himself with Lucky as well. Lucky was sure to let him know that the way to a canine’s heart is also through the stomach as well!
Finally, Lucky perked up her eyes and ears when she came across an idolized musician and a revered novelist. In the arms of Sting, the star-struck Maltese was left speechless but remained observant.
Afterwards, Lucky read up with Gore Vidal, while taking time to pose for one more picture. The late night conversationalists kept each other engaged and absorbed, proving that the story-barking skills of Lucky could rival that of Gore Vidal.
Next on Lucky’s agenda is publishing a bestseller!
Watch out on Valentine’s Day 2004 for her new book with her loyal companion Wendy Diamond, What a Lucky Dog! How to Understand Men Through Their Dogs! published by Hay House. Do you want to contact Lucky for a photo op, just email lucky@animalfair.com.
