The First Annual Brooklyn Bridge “Pup” Crawl, Saturday, September 26. This is the first-ever night-time dog walk across The Brooklyn Bridge to raise money to feed pets that have lost homes to foreclosure (1 million by ASPCA estimates). — We are raising funds for The Brooklyn Animal Rescue Coalition as well as shelters in Florida and California. — Hundreds of New Yorkers and their dogs have signed on (from malti-poos to mastiffs) — IAMS has donated dog food to the cause (see photo) — We are going to light up the night to draw attention to the cause (see photo) What started off as a small operation (we’re running the event out of my apartment, which is now overrun with puppy paraphernalia) has grown into something bigger, thanks to dozens of volunteers who have stepped in, as well as some media attention.
