SAGITTARIUS November 21st – December 21st
Happy Birthday Sag! Jovial Jupiter trines Pluto for most of December, augmenting your pet’s already upbeat and playful nature. Take your pet on a winter wonderland vacation or invite your friends to bring their pets over for a New Years Eve celebration. Sag canines and felines will be in tune with the festive spirit of the night! Your pet’s going to have a feisty February!
CAPRICORN December 21st – January 21st
Cappy pets will be especially vocal for most of December. By January, expect the unexpected from your pet. Mercury goes retrograde in Capricorn, causing your feline to become “catankerous” and your canine to sound off with more yapping. Also, it’s Capricorn’s annual birthday season. Happy Birthday to you! A warm sweater and Frisbee are the perfect winter gifts for those long romps with your dog in the snow.
AQUARIUS January 21st – February 21st
Aquarius pets will be feeling very social and open to meeting new pet playmates in the beginning of the winter season. During December your usually unpredictable pet will be much more attentive, disciplined and better with routines. Take advantage of this time to get your dog involved in winter sports and activities. During February and on Valentine’s Day your pet will shine, it’s Happy Birthday time again!
PISCES February 21st – March 21st
The spotlight is where your Pisces “fish” pet will want to be swimming throughout December. This is an auspicious time to enter your prize cat or dog in any contests or shows where they can be in the limelight. Take your Pisces pets to all the parties you’re invited to, they will want to socialize to the hilt! By February, even your dog will want to take lots of catnaps.
ARIES March 21st – April 21st
The winter is an adventurous and thrilling time for Aries pets! They’ll thrive in all the seasonal festive activities and are ripe for any new experiences that might come their way. You have the opportunity to capitalize on all these good vibes, so plan lots of winter jaunts, parties, and play dates. Your Aries Husky or Akita might have great fun pulling a sleigh through the snow.
TAURUS April 21st – May 21st
If you want to get your Taurus pet a special gift, December is the right time to bring home another playmate for your cat, dog, fish, ferret, etc. Do not bring home a new addition to your animal clan during January or the fur will definitely fly. Also, please don’t take a winter vacation with your pet then, Murphy’s Law will be in effect. Hold out until February!

For months I’ve been writing about Saturn, the taskmaster planet conjuncting your pet’s sign. This forecast period it will be retrograde, giving Gemini pets a slight break from the tight leash that’s been holding them back. Your pet will be more curious and spontaneous now when interacting with other animals, you, your family and friends. Throw a party and make your pet the Very Important Pet of honor.
CANCER June 21st – July 21st
Tis the season for parties and looking good! December is the month to take your Cancer pet to the groomer and vet for a once over. Your cat will feel like a festive feline and your canine will be the dapper dog at the run. Cancer pets will have a difficult time communicating with owners by the time January rolls around. Everything is just fine by February!
LEO July 21st – August 21st
Let the winter games begin! Fun loving Leo pets have good time Jupiter in their sign all season! Take longer walks with your dog and stop for a good old-fashioned snow fight. Just make sure your Leo pet doesn’t consume too many treats or handouts at home or parties, otherwise you might have to send your pet to a Pet Spa as a necessary holiday gift.
VIRGO August 21st – September 21st
Home is where Virgo pets’ hearts will be in December. Your cat will want to stay close to home in front of a roaring fire or cuddling in a cozy nook – any place that makes it feel protected and secure. January will be a mixed bag, your pet will want to have fun, but with Mercury retrograde, might not know how to go about it. Lead your pet!
LIBRA September 21st – October 21st
Libra pets will be chatty and eager to be out and about all of December. Social by nature, feel free to take your pet to every holiday party and outdoor festivity during the holiday season. Your home will feel more like a circus then a calm abode in January. Your pet will turn your routine upside down. February is all about having some fun!
SCORPIO October 21st – November 21st
If you buy your Scorpio cat or dog a new holiday toy, it will carry it around like a prized possession. You will need a pet decoder in January, as your dog might start to meow and your cat might start to bark. It’s just Mercury doing its retrograde dance in the sky, affecting the way your animal communicates with you. Your dog will be barking again by February.
