On May 1st, celebrities, dog loving New Yorkers and their four-footed friends gathered at Eugene for Animal Fair magazine’s 4th Annual Paws for Style. Guests were greeted by a giant Grey Goose ice sculpture of a dog and a fire hydrant, and were treated to a doggie-dance routine and a demonstration of Dyson vacuum cleaners (to prepare the catwalk for the dogs backstage). Then came the main event. Lauren Bush, Samantha Cole, Cindy Adams and many other celebrities donned designer’s one-of-a-kind people and doggie outfits. Participating designers included Kate Spade, Vera Wang, Vivienne Tam, Lulu Guinness, and St. John. The host of the event, Wendy Diamond redefined canine-chic with her dogbone laden black and white suit. All proceeds of the event went to the Humane Society of New York and all dogs up for adoption that night have been adopted. Bow Wow!
