THE JEEP®-Sponsored 2004 Yappy Hour Rescue Tour PRESENTED BY ANIMAL FAIR Was Paws-itively A SUCCESS!
With cocktails and doggie tails galore, singles and their canine companions mixed, mingled and sniffed at our Yappy Hour soirees held across the nation this fall. Tour sponsors included JEEP®, Cesar Dog Food, Febreze, Grey Goose Vodka, Flying Dog Ale, Starwood Resorts and Hotels, and of course Animal Fair. The events, which benefited local non-profit animal rescue groups in each city, were a furry hit for all species!
ATLANTA
Hot dogs were sniffing around at this Yappy Hour in the Westin Peachtree Plaza for the Atlanta Humane Society.
PHILADELPHIA
The City of Brotherly Love became the City of Puppy Love when the Yappy Hour rolled into Philadelphia at the Sheraton Society Hill to help out the Pennsylvania Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
SAN FRANCISCO
San Francisco’s dogs had their day, or night rather, at the W San Francisco to benefit the Peninsula Humane Society & SPCA.
BOSTON
Yappy Hour hit Boston, and pooches and their people partied the night away at bar Nine Zero in support of the Animal Rescue League of Boston.

The canines kicked it Creole style when Yappy Hour held its own Mutt-i-Gras at the Hotel Monaco New Orleans.

Jeep Yappy Hour took Miami by storm at the Sheraton Biscayne Hotel. The party benefited the Humane Society of Greater Miami.
SEATTLE
Seattle rocked the Yappy Hour at the Westin Seattle for the cause of the local Homeward Pets Adoption Center.
LOS ANGELES
The stars and mutts were out for the Los Angeles Yappy Hour, held at the Century Plaza Hotel & Spa. The chic event, which benefited The Amanda Foundation, included a Febreze Fashion Show that had celebrities and pets drooling for more!
Hampton Hounds Help Raise Fun & Funds for MS Society!
Lucky led Wendy out to Hampton Bays for the Southampton Multiple Sclerosis Animal Fair Canine Classic. In appreciation of the crucial role canines serve in the lives of those affected by MS, the event raised funds to support MS research and the more than 60 programs for Long Islanders affected by MS. Animal Fair’s own Wendy Diamond was a sponsor and event honoree. Despite a ruff storm, the day was a festive and fun-filled occasion!
“Top Dog Gala” in New York Was the Tops!
Animal lovers of high-society gathered at the Grand Ballroom in the famed Waldorf-Astoria to attend the 2004 “Top Dog Gala” in support of The Animal Medical Center. The glamorous event raised over $800,000! The highlight of the evening was NYPD Bomb Squad Explosive Detection Canine, Winston, and his owner/handler Detective Raymond Clair, who demonstrated Winston’s bomb-detection skills. Among the 500 attendees were honorees Fisher Brothers partner Richard Fisher and his mother Emily Fisher Landau, Dr. Henry Kissinger and his wife Nancy, co-chairs Stephen and Wendy Lash, Oscar de la Renta, and ASPCA president Edwin Sayres.
CESAR® Canine Comedy Cracked Up NYC!
Animals Fair’s 2004 Cesar® Canine Comedy had us rolling over with laughter at the New York Improv to benefit Animal Care & Control of NYC. Purr-forming comedians included Last Comic Standing’s Rich Vos, DC Benny, Bonnie McFarlane, Patrice Oneal, Cory Kahaney, and Dean Edwards. They really hit everyone’s funny bone!
