Lucky Diamond Barks for Life!

The American Cancer Society, an organization dedicated to advancing research about various types of cancer in hopes of finding cures, is honoring the Lucky Diamond for her contributions towards helping the underdog and raising cancer awareness at this year’s Bark for Life benefit on May 6th!

Bark for Life is an annual fundraising event honoring the Canine Caregivers that helps The American Cancer Society. The ACS regularly uses guide dogs, rescue dogs, therapy dogs, police dogs, diagnostic dogs, and canine cancer survivors as members of relay teams. This event is the perfect opportunity to honor their work while having a barking fun time! Families and dogs attending the event will participate in a one mile walk to honor canine caregivers and cancer survivors before enjoying a day of tasty treats and howling entertainment.

Last year, Lucky was diagnosed with spleen cancer, and her pet parent Wendy Diamond immediately embarked on a personal quest to find answers and solutions to the disease. Using a combination of chemotherapy and homeopathic treatments, we are thrilled to say that as of last Sunday’s ultrasound, our sweet little Maltese is cancer free!

Although the journey to wellness wasn’t a time to rollover, Lucky never stopped lending her charisma and talents to raising awareness to canine cancer, unfortunately one of out of every two dogs will get cancer in its lifetime. Even as she actively battles cancer, Lucky is filming in a documentary during her treatment quest, while Wendy consults leading medical experts in an effort to uncover possible causes and cures.

PLEASE MAKE A DONATION TO SUPPORT THE FIGHT AGAINST CANCER! Anyone who donates more than $50 or more will be invited to a special celebration with food and drinks! Seriously if you could donate even $10.00 to support Lucky in her fight against canine cancer!

Please support Lucky Diamond, the little dog who has defied all odds and even has a Guinness World Record, during the Bark for Life walk! Even if you donate just a dollar it can make a meaningful difference, donate now and join Lucky’s team, and visit cancer.org to learn more about The American Cancer Society. Thank you!
