Green Chimneys, a charity that serves at-risk youth and pioneered animal-assisted therapy, held its “Celebrity Dogs Unleashed” event, sponsored by Halo, Purely for Pets, at the Essex House in New York. Wendy Diamond donated a fiberglass dog to the event, decorated with Swarovski crystals all over its head, tail, and paws; her theme was “Diamonds are a Dog’s Best Friend”. Other dog-decorators included Glenn Close, Richard Gere, and Jane Goodall. The dogs were auctioned off, and the proceeds benefited Green Chimneys.
