One of The Girls Next Door and Her Dog
Bridget Marquardt has the dream job: hosting a TV show about the world’s most inviting beaches. Bridget’s Sexiest Beaches airing on The Travel Channel, features Marquardt traveling to exotic beaches around the globe. Marquardt says with a laugh, “Everybody I tell that to, they’re like, ‘Oh, do you need an assistant? Do you need somebody to carry your luggage?”
Marquardt’s Pekingese Wednesday helped her owner sniff out the most dog-friendly beaches in Southern California. The pair traveled to Del Mar, Laguna, Malibu, and San Diego for sun and fun. “She was such a good trooper,” says Marquardt. “When I put her down right where the water could just come up and get her feet wet, she was having fun playing with it. She’d run towards it, and then run away from it when the tide came in.”
Unfortunately, Wednesday won’t be nosing the best vacation spots internationally. In addition to the quarantine laws of many countries, “[traveling) is so hard on her, and they’re so strict on the airlines. She gets scared and it’s really cold on the floor. I feel bad about traveling with her.” Instead, Wednesday is staying safely on the ground at Marquardt’s parents’ house. With seven-and-a-half acres to play in and doting grandparents around, Wednesday probably doesn’t mind too much. “They’re spoiling her rotten over there. She’s having so much fun.”
Before all the traveling, Wednesday and Marquardt lived in Hugh Hefner’s Playboy Mansion with two other Playboy Bunnies and eight other Playboy dogs! Luckily, there were no fights because everybody loves Wednesday. In fact, one of the pups was in puppy love with her! Holly Madison’s Chihuahua Duke spent his time in the mansion courting Wednesday. He even bought her a ring from Tiffany!
However, Duke is a playboy. “Duke is quite the flirt … I’ve warned Wenny,” says Marquardt. What should she expect, though, living in the Playboy Mansion?
Even though Wednesday won’t be traveling abroad with Marquardt, she has traveled around the United States with her owner.
Marquardt gives readers the following advice about traveling with pets: “It’s a lot of work, but it’s very rewarding and it’s so fun to wake up in the morning and to have them there with you, because it feels like, no matter where you are, if you have your dog with you, it’s like being home.”
