Anchor-Dog: Lucky’s Legend Continues
Along her journey to give back (and get some treats in return), Lucky Diamond served as our own little Anchor-dog barking about numerous organizations including the Katrina Pet Memorial, Grand Marshall of Barkus, as well as the American Cancer Society’s Bark for Life and has hosted 1000′s of fundraisers in her lifetime as well. She was the only civilian dog admitted into the United Nations, and inspired the White House Pet Correspondents Benefit, St Pawtricks, Yappy Hour, Paws For Style, Howloween events, all to promote animal rescue and welfare. Lucky loved her TV time to bark about helping the underdog!
Lucky was our founder, Wendy Diamond, anchor by her side since day one of Animal Fair. She inspired Wendy to uncover her true calling, helping animals in need. Lucky passed following her brave fight with canine cancer, but her legend lives on! Wendy rescued Baby Hope, her newest furry friend– 8-year-old little Coton de Tulear, right before Lucky’s passing and Baby Hope will help to carry on Lucky’s legacy by helping animals in need. Lucky’s life and her legacy of saving the underdog will be celebrated and her mission continued. Lucky has left her indisputable mark on the world!
In just a few weeks, “Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues” will have Will Ferrell returning to the role of venerable newsman Ron Burgundy, confronting the future of television journalism, leaving San Diego with the Channel 4 News Team for a turn on the spankin’ new, 24-hour cable news network, GNN, in New York City.
No anchor, even Anchorman, could compare to our adorable and adventurous Anchor-dog Lucky, but don’t forget to check out “Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues” hitting theaters on December 18th!
