WRR is a Texas radio station that recently released Roll Over Beethoven, a compilation of classical songs directed towards animal lovers and their beloved pets, which has shown to improve awareness and lower barking frequencies in dogs. Many of the songs were also engendered by various composers’ adoration for animals such as The Birds, a piece that emulates the delicate din produced by flapping wings.
WRR is anxious to keep classical music alive. Recognizing that pet owners are keen to improve the lives of their non-human counterparts and that the soothing sounds do provoke positive pet behavior, Roll Over Beethoven was put out with hopes of drawing a new pack of listeners in to the genre. WRR will donate a portion of the revenue to the Texas SPCA and Operation Kindness.
