Being a vegan is one thing, but being crowned the sexiest female vegetarian celebrity is another! Olivia Wilde didn’t just get this title from her good looks, but her constant animal activism and anti-abuse promotion.
The new mom (and expecting another babe with actor hubbie Jason Sudeikis) explains how going vegan can save the lives of 100 animals per year! By switching to meat/dairy free foods, you can prevent animal torture and abuse, and even gain awesome health benefits! “Beyond my desire to boycott the torture factories, I am also way happier when I eat a plant based diet, and I feel about a thousand times more energetic” she states in a PETA interview.
Speaking of PETA, Olivia Wilde has been recognized several times by the organization. She has earned a PETA Kind Choices Award, along with actress Emma Stone, for promoting cruelty-free cosmetics from Revlon! Animals don’t just get abused by creating food products but makeup products as well.
Wilde also credits former Actress friend Alicia Silverstone for getting her hooked onto veganism. “ We were shooting a movie in Louisiana- where there is no vegetarian food- and she cooked the most incredible recipes from the Kind diet for me. I have never looked or felt better in my life”
However, becoming a devoted vegan can be a difficult task, especially for all the meat-lovers out there. By simply cutting back on poultry and beef based products you won’t only be saving the lives of animals, but promoting a healthier lifestyle!
