Going for the Gold with Olympic Pets: Allyson Felix – Track and Field

Allyson Felix with Chloe

In high school, sprinter Allyson Felix was known as “chicken legs.” Today she is a silver medalist and only the second female athlete to win three gold medals at the IAAF World Championships in Athletics. Always there to keep Felix on her game and ready to win is her two-year-old Yorkshire Terrier, Chloe. The girls make quite the team and sometimes they run together. “Whenever I have a day that is not as intense, I love to bring Chloe and watch her attempt to run with me.” Don’t think that there’s ever a competition between the two, however, Felix tells us the Chloe is “always trying to keep up with me.”
