Dear Lucky,
I’m only an 8-week-old rescued Poodle, and I know my new parents have good intentions, but it’s tough to go from sitting alone in my shelter crate to having people fawning all over me day and night! They even expect me to sleep in bed with them! Can you help my owner make my new home feel cozy and welcoming?

Dear Zoë,
As a rescue dog myself, I can relate. But being saved is a dream come true! Your new family loves you and only wants you to be happy, but they’ll need to ease you into this new life to truly make you feel at home. Tell them to purchase a plush doggie bed that you can sleep in on the floor next to their bed. Your new family should also limit visits from guests until you are more comfortable in your new digs. You’ll be enjoying the lap of luxury in no time!
