Dear Lucky,
The wonderful Jones family whom I’m forever grateful to recently adopted me. The family and I are getting along great but I’m not adjusting well to the other neighborhood dogs. I just can’t seem to make friends and no one comes over to ask me to play. Two Dobermans, Spence and Shire have taken to barking loudly at me when they pass with their owners as well. The only socializing I am used to is through a metal cage at the animal rescue Center. Since you’re such a social dog – can you please give me some tips?

Kell,
I am so sorry to hear that you are having a hard time fitting in. No worries – the queen of socialization is here to help! The one thing you must think when trying to make new friends is that you are great and anyone would be lucky (he-he) to be your friend. You must try to be confident; no one likes a dog down in the dumps. Just be a frisky and exciting as possible. I was once up for adoption and look at me now!
