In the following pages you will find the exquisite animal work of photographer Scott Ian Barry from his black and white wildlife portfolio. During his travels across the continent, Barry captured some of the United States’ and Canada’s most beautiful animals in their natural habitats and Animal Fair brings them to you. From his trademark white wolf photograph to his images of the Siberian Tiger, Barry’s award-winning shots reflect the artist’s passion for wildlife.
In particular, Barry has a soft spot for the wolf; an affinity that dates back to his days as an assistant to a wolf keeper at a local zoo when he was only 19 years-old. Barry helped to raise two litters of wolves at the zoo and he has been passionate about the animal ever since. “Wolves are a wonderful combination of instinct and energy,” says Barry. “I’ve learned so much from them.”
Having recently completed a new children’s book, Caesar’s Dog, Barry continues to photograph wildlife and lecture across the country.
