116 Ways to Spoil Your Dog!

Groom Room Ways to Spoil Your Dog

Canine pampering has come a long way baby. Gone are the days of washing the dog with the garden hose. Today’s dogs have standing appointments with their groomers, massage therapists, and personal trainers.  And did you know that grooming facilities now refer to themselves as beauty salons or spas, likewise groomers as stylists?  Treating dogs as people is big business.  Increasingly doggie spas and salons offer services that mirror those available in our high-end day spas and salons.  Dog parents want their dogs to look their best.  They also feel better knowing that their canine companions are being pampered with extra amenities such as massages, pedicures, and therapeutic baths. As a result, the doggie spa industry has become more than a billion dollar a year industry.

But the quest to make our dogs’ look and feel good goes beyond spas and salons.  Spa products for home use have become a booming business.  Take a look on the shelves of any pet boutique and you will find a large selection of premium shampoos, conditioners, and doggie colognes.  And we are not talking cheap sprays to cover dog smell.  We’re talking high-end doggie colognes that are priced as high as many exclusive human colognes.

And dog parents not only want their dogs to look good; they also want them to feel good.  People are concerned like never before with their dogs’ overall well being.  They call massage therapists for their stressed or injured doggies and take time to educate themselves on alternative remedies like aromatherapy.

Basically, most of the products or services that we use to make ourselves look and feel better are now available for our dogs. And if something is not available now, it probably will be in the near future.
