Going, going, sold for a Canine-Thousand! The Humane Society of New York hosted a Fine Art Photography Auction and raised more than $300,000 at the Barishnikov Arts Center in New York City on April 16th. All of the profits will go towards helping over 32,000 animals. New York hosted another fundraising event at the Central Park Zoo on May 17th. The Wildlife Conservation Society gathered five hundred people for their annual Spring fundraiser, SAFARI! Madagascar. Embracing animals of her own, Wendy Carduner of the exclusive club, Doubles threw Liza Minnelli’s puppies, Eenie, Meenie, Minie, and Moe, a puppy shower.
