Get ready folks – unleashed Miley Cyrus is the host of the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) tonight! The 2015 VMAs will air this evening Sunday, August 30th at 9 P/E on MTV, live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, with the pre-show beginning at 8 P/E. Cyrus is known for her wild and theatrical (often risqué) performances and howling comments, so the VMAs are providing extra censorship throughout the award event.
VMAs artists that are performing tonight, and known for running with music industry top dogs include: Justin Bieber, Nicki Minaj, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, The Weeknd, Pharrell Williams, Demi Lovato, Macklemore,Tori Kelly, A$AP Rocky, and Twenty One Pilots!
Whether you’re a Miley Cyrus fan or not, this 22-year-old controversial performer loves animals and has rescued many throughout her young life! She has four dogs named Happy, Bean, Mary Jane and Penny! Maybe her dogs inspired Cyrus to wag her tail as often as possible for more treats.
Cyrus adopted her mutt (part Rottweiler and Beagle mix) she named “Bean” from Spot Rescue Dogs, which is a non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing non-specific breed dogs, or mutts.
She saved her dog Happy outside a Walmart. She tweeted; “He was left in a box in front of Walmart. I don’t understand how people can be so cruel. That’s why we named him Happy.”
Last year Cyrus adopted Bubba Sue, a pint-sized piglet Cyrus called her the “newest member to the fam,” and “child.”
After some digging, Animal Fair Media discovered that Cyrus has a long history of loving animals. She was born in Franklin, Tennessee and raised on the family ranch in the backwoods of Nashville with horses, cows, chickens, cats and of course, dogs. Cyrus began riding horses at the age of two and later enjoyed braiding their tails. Her pet peeves: spiders and snakes. There probably won’t be any spiders at the VMAs, but no guarantees that some “snakes” won’t be slithering around (woof-wink)!
Can’t help but wonder if the VMAs are going to get hit with a Cyrus “Wrecking Ball”, or will she tame it down a bit tonight? Woof woof, we’ll have to wait and see!
