Retired dog fighting enthusiast Michael Vick is taking a solid stand against the app as he reported to the Human Society:
“I’ve come to learn the hard way that dogfighting is a dead-end street,” Vick said in a statement posted on the Humane Society’s website. “Now, I am on the right side of this issue, and I think it’s important to send the smart message to kids, and not glorify this form of animal cruelty, even in an Android app.”
From reviews on the Android’s Market site it appears that the app does not actually run properly. Could this just be a ploy at a quick press dig with such a controversial game topic? Either way, Animal Fair is disappointed to see any animal used in such a way, for press or entertainment. Animal Fair feels that from now on Google should have potential apps be screened before listing them. To let the Android Store know how you feel contact them at their help site or contact Wendy Diamond and Lucky though Animal Fair for more information.
