Twelve Rescued Dogs Take the Trip of a Lifetime to Support the Humane Society of New York!

Rescue Dog Calendar Taino July1

At the age of seven, Valerie Shaff discovered that a camera was capable of conjuring passion in her. Ms. Shaff has a Rhodesian Ridgeback named Rex, but she also enjoys snapping shots of Mutts, Pomeranians,  Jack Russell Terrier puppies, Italian greyhounds, Cairn mixes, everything! In this issue of Animal Fair that celebrates travel and animal rescue, we have chosen photographs by Ms. Shaff featuring rescued animals from the Humane Society of New York in exotic locales ranging from an igloo to ancient ruins to even a tropical island. The photographs showcase designer homes that were made especially for a Benefit Auction by the Humane Society of New York. With her roving eye for Rovers, Ms. Shaff’s photographs in the Humane Society of New York & Benjamin Moore Paints calendar display how much she truly loves dogs, whether they might be sporty, regal, or lovably huggable. So the next time you travel to a faraway place – consider redesigning your dog house so your dog gets a new view on life!
