Susan Ward

Feisty southern belle, Susan Ward is being thrust into the celebrity spotlight. Rumored to be Hollywood’s next “it girl,” Susan is now being added to the star-studded list of hot, new actresses.

From the backwoods of Louisiana, to the runways of NYC, to a number of prime-time television hit series and now the big screen, Susan Ward is making a name for herself in the celebrity world. This budding actress began her career as a model for the Ford Agency at the age of 14. With the excitement and influence of the Big Apple under her belt, Susan set her sights on a career in acting. She found her niche in the performing arts when she landed a steady role on the popular ABC soap opera, All My Children. In the twinkling of an eye, Susan developed into one of television’s hottest, young stars.

TV’s bigwig, Aaron Spelling introduced us to Susan with her role as Bree, on the evening soap Malibu Shores, and then as Megan Cummings, on Sunset Beach. This firecracker actress has recently graduated to motion pictures. This summer, fans around the world can catch Susan in the sure-to-be hit, summer teen thriller, The In Crowd, a Morgan Creek/Warner Brother’s film. In the film, Susan develops her “bad girl” reputation as Brittany Foster, the conniving leader of a cliquey group of suburban teenage girls.
This sexy, now twenty-something actress didn’t always see herself making a name for herself in showbiz. Early aspirations were to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. When asked if she grew up around animals, Susan replied, “I grew up in an animal haven my family has exotic birds, reptile, dogs, monkeys, snakes, rabbits and hamsters.” Unfortunately, green about the gills at the sight of blood, Susan soon realized that she would have to modify her career goals.

She does, however, still have a soft spot in her heart for those of the furry persuasion. Susan is the proud parent of three far-out felines, Buffy and Sawyer, both Persians and a simple but beautiful black cat named Velvet. Susan also recently acquired a new Boxer puppy.

An interesting tid-bit of information about Susan’s Persians – they are shaved on a regular basis with their tails, heads, and paws left long. Very chic!

As for charity involvement, Susan is an active member in Actors and Others for Animals as well as a committed member of a number of animal rescue and pet adoption organizations.
