The Next Presidential Pooch Is Our Most Eligible Pet Of The Year

What makes the “Most Eligible Pet” the most? For starters these pets live the good life, celebrating all the perks and treats that their celebrity guardians provide through the creature comforts that success brings! Animal Fair has chosen president-elect Barack Obama and his family’s soon to be announced “presidential pet pooch” as our Most Eligible Pet of the year.  Just think of it, some unassuming puppy out there is going to go from the pound to the White House.  No doubt, this bipartisan democratic dog will be sniffing and running with A-list celebrities, dignitaries, clergy, visionaries and leaders from around the globe.

President-elect Obama promised his two daughters, Shasha and Malia a puppy after the election was over. Obama commented that his daughters’ “earned the new puppy that’s coming with us to the White House.” The new “first dog” will have to be hypoallergenic as one daughter is allergic, which includes at least 15 breeds.  Animal groups are pushing the Obama family to rescue from a shelter. And it looks like that just might happen, Obama recently disclosed, “Our preference would be to get a shelter dog.”  The fortunate dog that gets saved by the first family is our pick for The Most Eligible Pet!
