PetSmart Charities threw “Party for the Pets” on August 26th to announce its greatest philanthropic gift ever: A $14 million grant to the Los Angeles area for pet over-population programs. Attendees included actress Charlene Tilton, actor Fred Willard and singer-songwriter Carol Connors, who performed as the eventing’s special guest entertainment.
Earlier this summer, over 16,000 people and their dogs walked in the 12th Annual Big Dog Parade. In Santa Barbara, CA, the parade is a benefit, which raises money for various charities supporting dogs, children, and dogs that help people. With Jason Biggs swerving as Grand Marshall, costumed dogs competed in Best in Parade, Best in Costume and most Humorous contests.
