VIRGO
August 21 – September 21
Happy Birthday throughout September to all you Virgo pets out there! Owners, with the autumn temperatures getting cooler, why not buy your special canine a cozy sweater to keep them warm? Mars, the planet of action and activity, will be in Capricorn from September 9th until October 28th. You can expect your reserved Cappy to be feisty and in a take-charge mood. Besides, Jupiter, the “good feeling” planet will be in their seventh house of other pets. This combo means one thing: plan as many play dates and special activities as you can. That way, they can burn up all that social energy they’re feeling.
TAURUS

Mars and Venus will be in fellow earth signs throughout October. Your Virgo pets will be in a playful upbeat mood as the autumn begins. This is the perfect time to plan jovial festivities with your pet- a good time will be had by all! Most of September, you’ll find your Libran pets hiding out. It’s the time of year when they recharge their batteries. From the end of September until October 21st, their energy will soar as they bring in the birthdays. Happy Birthday Libran pets! The only catch is Mercury retrograding, which lasts until October 23rd and causes them to communicate in unusual ways… possibly with a roar instead of a meow..
AQUARIUS
January 21 – February 21
September is the month for Aquarius pets to experience a time of rejuvenation. It’s the perfect time to implement any changes that will benefit their spirit. Uranus and Neptune in Aquarius will be going direct after a long retrograde period. By October, after a long hiatus, your pet will be feeling more like themselves. Celebrate in November by take your dog on a spontaneous scenic drive through the country!
GEMINI
May 21 – June 21
Geminis will get a big break this fall. In Gemini since April, Saturn, the planet of restriction and limitation, will be retrograding starting on September 27th. Your pet will find some reprieve from this transit, causing them to be lighter and more outgoing than they’ve been recently. Uranus and Neptune will be going direct in October, inspiring your pet to become more adventuresome. Keep an eye on them!
SCORPIO
October 21 – November 21
Scorpio pets will be feeling frisky and in the mood to socialize throughout September. Owners indulge your dog by taking him or her on longer walks, especially as fall temperatures ease the summer heat. By October, your pet will be in the mood to retreat from the outer world. November is your pet’s big month; Happy Birthday Scorpios! Venus will make them more loving after the 9th.
PISCES
February 21 – March 21
This September is the perfect time to buy your solo goldfish a few buddies to swim around with. You also might want to purchase a larger aquarium—the bigger the school the better! All Pisces pets will be feeling the urge to merge. It’s all about relating for them this autumn season. Throughout November, a bevy of planets in fellow water signs will do even more to enhance their dispositions.
CANCER

Jupiter is still blessing all Cancer pets this season and will do so until August of 2002. Their dispositions will be upbeat. In October, Mercury will be retrograde in Cancer’s fourth house of home for most of October. You’ll find your dog or cat displaying unusual behavior around your household. I suggest you place your good china in a high safe place. November is all about having fun!

Pluto in Sagittarius is finally direct after months of retrograde motion. Thus, it will be easy to resolve any power struggles or behavioral problems you might have recently experienced with your pet. September and October is the perfect time to get out of the house and enjoy the beautiful fall foliage with your high energy Sag dog. They will bask in all the extra attention!
ARIES
March 21 – April 21
The whole month of September is a good time to arrange a grooming for your dog or cat and also a checkup with the local veterinarian. In October, your dog might not want to take long walks with you or participate in your usual routine. Blame the change on Mercury, the planet of communication, going retrograde for most of the month. They will be back to their gregarious shenanigans by November!
LEO
July 21 – August 21
The good news for Leo pets happens this October. Uranus and Neptune will turn direct in their seventh house of how they relate to other animals and people in their environment. You’ll find your dog becoming friendlier and more receptive to meeting other dogs at the dog run or local corner! By November, your dog will be totally content, staying close to the coziness of home.
