Starting this summer Dina Lohan, mother of child star Lindsay Lohan, and her family are going to star in their new reality TV show, “Living Lohan.” The show, which began filming back in October, is a behind-the-scenes look at the life of Dina, her kids and other talented child stars that Dina will work with.

As the dedicated matriarch who helped launch the career of her most famous daughter, Lindsay, Dina now has her eyes set on her other daughter, “Ali,” who will also star in the upcoming reality TV show. But when Dina isn’t helping to start her daughter’s careers in Hollywood or in the recording studios, she’s helping to take care of her dogs at home.

When asked how she manages her dogs as well as her daughter’s careers, Dina replied, “It’s like the Nike ad: Just Do It!” And that’s precisely how she handles her daughter’s careers.

“They need to have the fire, the will to do what they want. It has to come from their hearts.”

For Lindsay, it was her desire to be an actress. For Ali, it is her desire to sing and entertain on stage. And where are the dogs while both these young girl’s careers are skyrocketing? They’re at the Dina’s home on Long Island where they receive the most affection and attention than any canine can ever ask for.

At the moment, Dina is taking care of all the dogs, including the ones Lindsay got a few months ago. The wildest of the bunch is “Brooklyn,” a young Jack Russell Terrier. The other is “Polo.” Since both puppies are males, they are constantly fighting each other over territory. This was easily remedied when Dina decided to separate the dogs at night. But exactly how does training a dog compare to managing her children’s careers?

“I guess with dogs it’s different because you train your dog and you educate your kids,” Dina explained.

As a full-time manager, Dina admits that she prefers animals not only because she’s been around them all her life but also because animals “can’t talk back.” However, Dina shares an equal compassion for her children as well as all her dogs.
