Real Housewives of New York star Sonya Morgan loves anything French! When she adopted her poodle, Millou, she was inspired by her love of Point Milou in St. Barts. That was 15 years ago and today, Millou, although a bit heavier, has the energy of a puppy.
Not always a dog person, she bought Millou after realizing that canines can help single people be less needy! She helped watch a friend’s dog in Los Angeles and felt the urge to get a puppy. She bough an apartment, a dog and then men started proposing!
Sonya expected Millou to grow and be about seven pounds, soaking wet. She had hoped to carry him around in a Burberry bag since she traveled a lot! It was very obvious he would surpass that weight. “Millou grew out and not up. He’s a hot dog!” Sonya exclaimed while showing how long, “Most people think he is a Bijon and when I tell then he’s a poodle, they just stare at me.”
A healthy diet is key to a happy and lively canine companion. She never feeds Millou human food. Although whenever Millou and Sonya attend a party with fellow housewives, some scraps inevitably end up on Millou’s plate. Right now he is recovering from Lyme Disease with he contracted in The Hamptons. His breath is a bit offensive from the medication but he just finished the prescription and Sonya is hoping for an end to paltry pants.
Millou is a bit clumsy, as well. Sonya recounted how he fell into a hot tub when she was helping her daughter in a friend’s pool. “I was walking to the pool and Millou was following me and suddenly, plop, he just fell right into the hot tub.”
Sonya is a proud mother and loves the manner in which Millou struts his stuff. “He is king of the sidewalks when we are out, prancing by crowds, checking out lady poodles, and perhaps boy poodles too.” Millou is the bomb and apparently knows it! It’s as of he is a celebrity and if he was, well, Sonya feels he would be a pretty…like Johnny Depp!
