In Honor Of Veteran’s Day! Be A Lifesaver: Help A Veteran w/ PTSD and A Rescued Service Dog! @k9sforwarriors

We have a goal to raise enough money for twenty rescued service dogs and twenty Veterans with PTSD (20 Lives) to go through the 100% successful K9s For Warriors Program by Veterans Day – November 11, 2013.  Every 65 minutes a veteran commits suicide; most of them suffering from PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) according to the Department of Veteran Affairs.  Everyone can create a fundraising team to help save the life of a veteran and a service dog in a city of your choosing and literally takes two minutes to set up.  If you raise $50, $100, or even $10,000 for a Service Dog/Veteran Team – all monies will support those who selflesly fought for our freedom. On this tour we have one howling mission in mind: SAVE ONE VETERAN & SAVE ONE DOG IN EACH CITY! Please join us in donating and supporting K9s For Warriors!

Every 65 minutes a veteran commits suicide; most of them suffering from PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder). According to the Department of Veterans Affairs, 184 new cases are diagnosed daily. The K9s For Warriors  rescues dogs from shelters prior to being euthanized and trains them to be service dogs for veterans with PTSD and Traumatic Brain Injury.  K9s For Warriors is 100% proven, transparent and successful!  94% of every dollar donated to K9s For Warriors goes directly to the Veteran & service dogs.  Only 6% is used on fundraising and overhead. Shari Duval, the founder and Executive Director of K9s For Warriors takes no salary.

In this valiant effort, the program costs approximately $10,000 to graduate one veteran/canine pair. Wendy Diamond and Animal Fair hope to rescue at least one veteran and one canine at each stop of the Bark Business Breakfast 10 city tour and promote the importance of this program!

We hope you will accept this invitation to get involved with this inspirational event and join us in this worthy endeavor by creating your own team fundraising page for an event that is vital for us all.

BARK ABOUT IT!  TELL YOUR FRIENDS & FAMILY – SAVE A DOG, SAVE A VETERAN!

We hope you create your own personal fundraising page to make a difference for our Veterans – it takes just three easy steps!

2. Create your own fundraising page! Click TICKETS then the box on the LEFT (it reads: START YOUR FUNDRAISER) when the new window pops up to create your own team! Next, click the SIGN UP FOR CROWDRISE button and fill out the NEW MEMBER box on the right by entering your email address and creating a password OR you can choose to click on a Social Network tab (Facebook, Twitter, Google +, or LinkedIn) to automatically link your fundraising page to your social media and allow Crowdrise to post on your behalf.

4. Visit our main page to view some of the generous public donations we have received from all over the country.

We hope as a supporter of K9s For Warriors and the Bark Breakfast Tour, you will inspire your troops ( friends, family members, fans and coworkers) to join your fundraiser, attend the Bark Breakfast Benefit and be a part of history with helping a Veteran with PTSD participate in the K9s for Warriors program. Veterans have fought selflessly for our nation’s freedom – it is now time for the two and four-legged friends to fight for them!  People can donate $10, $20, $50, $100, $1000, Sponsor a Veteran with PTSD/Service Dog Team for $10,000 ! Any amount is saving a life!

Thanks to our generous sponsors, the tour will 100% benefit K9s For Warriors. Ellen DeGeneres’ pet food company, Halo, Purely for Pets knows that natural nutrition is imperative for service dogs (and all dogs) because it ensures a long, happy life with their parents, and are on board with supporting the K9s For Warriors Bark Breakfast Benefit Tour! American Express Open has partnered with us to empower and support Veteran small business owners. The Loews Hotels and OMNI pet-friendly hotels are graciously providing the space for the Bark Business Breakfast Benefits across the country, so we can gather, raise money, and get the bark out about K9s For Warriors!
