Animal Fair recently caught up with 7th Heaven hottie, George Stults. Stults plays Officer Kevin Kinkirk on the WB hit. He has also appeared on Will and Grace and Friends. Just a few moments with this Detroit native, and it’s clear why fans are glued to the tube!
AF: Tell us about this adorable munchkin you have with you.
GS: Tetley is a miniature Yorkshire terrier. He’s only six-months-old. I’ve always had big dogs growing up. My father is a huge animal lover and I’m the same way. When I moved to Hollywood, I really wanted a dog and just fell in love with Tetley. I get teased all the time because he’s so small, but women seem to like him! He’s so fun-loving and makes everyone he comes in contact with smile.
AF: Any funny stories you’d like to share?
GS: Dogs have such human traits. I take Tetley hiking, but he’s so tiny still. He’ll march right up to big dogs because he wants to play. It makes me a little nervous. He thinks he’s a tough guy, but he has no clue how small he is. The other dogs can eat him.
AF: Are you in puppy love with anyone right now?
GS: No, I’m still looking. Tetley can’t talk back to me, which is a plus. I do believe in unconditional love with a person though. I think it’s out there for everyone, at least I hope it is. It takes two to make a relationship work.
AF: What inspired you to try acting?
GS: I never thought I’d end up being an actor. All my life, I’ve always gone with the flow. I went to school in Colorado to wrestle. The college experience was great. I moved to California after I graduated, and an agent handed me her card one day when I was out. I was fortunate enough to be at the right place at the right time. I signed with her and took a few acting classes. I’ve been acting for eight years now. Just turned thirty years old. I ended up booking a guest role on 7th Heaven, which turned into a series regular gig.
AF: How do you like working on 7th Heaven?
GS: I’ve been on the show four seasons now as Officer Kevin Kinkirk. I love the people I work with. No egos. It’s a great place to be. I feel very blessed. 7th Heaven is a family show – one of the only family shows left on TV. It’s been on for ten seasons. People can relate to it. Fans come up to me constantly and tell me they love the show. You feel like you’re doing something right.
AF: What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
GS: My favorite hobby is to travel and explore new places. I love to meet people. Rock climbing is the best. I’m an outdoor person. Hiking, skiing, swimming, you name it. I love being active, but it gets tougher the older you get. I also try to work on feature films when I get a chance. I have a movie coming out called Night Skies … it’s a UFO abduction movie based on a true story. You’ll have to let me know what you think!
