This issue is a dedicated to Lucky, my dog, who happens to be the most fit dog of all! Who needs a trainer when she runs around our office each day, in circles in my loft at night and attacks dogs three times her size on our “walks” in Central Park. It’s summer! The time when we tend to think about our weight and what to wear. This issue will take those thoughts away and into the Hollywood home of the ever-fit actress Shannon Elizabeth (star of American Pie and her upcoming Miramax “Scary Movie”) to meet her seven rescued dogs (Boomer, Six Buttons, Jasper, Sasha, Amber, Carmen and Skylar) in her garden. We also went across the Mediterranean to the perfect summer destination, Greece, and captured the amazing lives of cats on the Isle of Mykonos. See photographer Veronique Vial’s photographs of beautiful woman with their dogs, taken before their 10 am workouts. You will also read how our favorite friends can Beat the Heat and enjoy all the favorite activities that we as people enjoy! Also, we ventured to upstate New York to the non-profit home of Green Chimneys to report on under privileged children who take care of 400 animals including llamas, pigs and horses. Our models and staff cherished the day with the children!
Lucky has been the greatest addition to my family, not only for being the cutest little girl, but because she never lets me sleep past 7 a.m., and never allows me a dull moment while running after her!
