Pope Francis, “The People’s Pope” lands in New York City and greeted by Mayor Bill De Blasio and Cardinal Dolan. This is the pope’s first trip to the “The Big Apple”. Thousands of New Yorkers are lining up and down the West Drive and 5th Avenue to catch a glimpse of the pontiff on his historic drive to St. Patrick’s Cathedral.
Pope Francis has suggested that not only people go to heaven, but animals walk through the pearly gates too! While delivering his weekly address at St. Peter’s Square in late November 2014, the pope said, “The Holy Scriptures teach us that the creation of this marvelous design concerns all that is around us, and all that came out of the thoughts and heart of God.” While it’s unclear what Pope Francis specifically thinks about this matter, all one has to do is read between the spiritual lines to receive the message.

8:30 A/E: Pope Francis visit and address the United Nations General Assembly – the 70th anniversary of the U.N.
11:30 A/E: 911 Memorial Museum – a multi-religious service is held
4:00 P/E: The pope visits Our Lady Queen of Angels School in East Harlem.
5:00 P/E: The pope will lead a procession through Central Park, greeting 80,000 people that were awarded tickets by the city in a lottery pick.
6:00 P/E: Mass is held in Madison Square Garden.
Saturday, Sept. 26th, 2015 – Philadelphia
8:40 A/E: Pope Francis departs New York City from JFK to Philadelphia.
