The tragedy of Hurricane Sandy has brought out lots of good in people, but there is still MORE to be done. Giving Tuesday was created to make the Tuesday after thanksgiving (November 27th) a day of giving, and we need your help! All you need to do is give! Take an extra second in your day and find a way for you, your family, community, company/organization to join in acts of giving. Tell your friends, co-workers, social media contacts about what you are doing and why it matters and maybe they will give too! Join a national celebration of our great tradition of generosity. Luckily, it’s pretty easy and one way you can participate in Giving Tuesday this year is by helping Green Chimneys.
Green Chimneys is a nationally renowned, non-profit organization with a mission of restoring possibilities and creating futures for children with emotional, behavioral, social and learning challenges through educational, therapeutic and outreach services, while providing care for animals and nature, thereby promoting a philosophy of dignity and worth for all living things.
You can help kids and animals all in one fell swoop (pun intended)! There are many ways you can give back to your community and world this November 27th with Green Chimneys. You can adopt an animal and help cover the costs the farm pays to keep these beautiful wonderful mammals alive, (don’t worry, when you adopt the pig, you don’t have to clean out the pen or get dirty). Green Chimneys will even send you a postcard with info about your rabbit, pig, bird, sheep, cow, horse, etc. 
You can also sponsor a brick at the farm and leave a personal message to a loved one or pet or you can put your business name on it so everyone knows how awesome you are. You can also send a cash donation or supplies. At Green Chimneys, there is a constant need for all types of stuff due to all the rad programs they offer. If you have flatware, utensils, jars, birdcages, a mini trampoline (hey who doesn’t?) lying around we need that too!
There are many ways you can help! Remember, no donation is too small! Green Chimneys is doing some great stuff for children and you can be a part of making it happen this Giving Tuesday!
