Please Help Diseal! He is a special dog who requires a very unique home that can meet his specific needs. Upon his arrival at the shelter, the medical team discovered that he is hearing impaired, and may be fully deaf.
Despite this challenge, he was quickly able to learn hand signals and other methods of communication. We’re happy to report that he’s been making wonderful progress!
Diesel is a gentle soul who can be a bit shy and nervous around new people, especially when they approach him too quickly or aggressively. This is due to a combination of his hearing impairment and a possibly traumatic experience in his past.
He prefers to take his time getting to know individuals and building trust before receiving affection. Once he’s comfortable, he’s the ultimate lap dog and loves nothing more than covering his humans with kisses.
To ensure Diesel’s continued success, he will need a patient and loving home with older children that can give him the time he needs to settle in. We are pleased to share that thanks to a generous donation by one of Diesel’s fans, his adoption fee has already been covered. All that is missing from his life now is a loving family to call his own.
