
What: the Doggie Dinning Bill that was signed into law allowing dogs to dine with their owners or companions at most outdoor cafes. The new legislation, sponsored by Sen. Hannon, allows leashed dogs to dine in outdoor restaurants, cafes and patios with their owners or companions.
Who: New York State Senator Kemp Hannon and Freeport Village Mayor Robert T. Kennedy will join officials with the Nassau County SPCA and Jill Burkhardt of North Shore Animal League America and all of their furry friends to celebrate!

The world famous Nautical Mile in Freeport is home to hundreds of restaurants and outdoor cafes. Hudson’s on the Mile Restaurant is opening a special doggie dining area and will be unveiling the first legal doggie food menu so patrons can enjoy dining with their pets. A few other restaurants in Freeport that are pet-friendly for outdoor dining include: Jeremy’s Ale House, The Patio, Bracco’s Clam and Oyster Bar, River House Grille, and Texas Ranger.
