Last year, Wendy Diamond founded and launched Women’s Entrepreneur’s Day and #WomenWOW, with a single envisioned mission to empower women and girls globally.
Today marks the second annual Women Wednesday, a promotional Certified Business Program (WCBP) event that supports and promotes women-owned or led businesses and causes globally. This platform is an international social media campaign – using the hashtag #WomenWOW – inviting buyers globally to support women-owned businesses and causes!
#WomenWOW rallies, ignites, and activates women and men globally to engage and pledge their support to a women-owned business and cause worldwide by giving and donating their Time, Talent or Treasure.
Make a global impact and celebrate #WomenWOW by donating, volunteering, or engaging these life-changing women-owned, led, or driven campaigns:
THE NOMI NETWORK
Today is International Day for the Abolition of Slavery, please support Diana Mao’s Nomi Network! The Nomi Network provides survivors of human trafficking work, competitive wages, and medical care. Nomi designs and develops a product line that is made by survivors, which Nomi markets globally. The profits from the Nomi product sales are redistributed back into improving benefits, training, and career development programs, as well as capacity building and market access. Actress and humanitarian advocate Mamie Gummer is Nomi’s global ambassador, and together they collaborated to create the Willow Wears product line!
THE HUMANE SOCIETY OF NEW YORK
The Humane Society of New York is a women-led animal shelter, with top dogs Sandra DeFeo, Rebecca Meyers, and Anne-Marie Karash running the show! For over 100 years, the Humane Society of New York has been a presence in New York City, caring for animals in need when illness, injury or homelessness strikes. The hospital and the Vladimir Horowitz and Wanda Toscanini Horowitz Adoption Center help more than 38,000 dogs and cats annually, and their numbers continue to grow.
Opportunity International brings hope to women, children and families by providing them access to financial solutions, which empowers people living in poverty. Active in 28 countries, this organization helps to transform lives, their children’s futures, and their communities. Their mission is to erase poverty and create economic sustainability and growth in agriculture, technology, business leadership, and women’s education. This group socially rallies the global community to engage in fundraisers and activities to support their mission.
