Lisa Vanderpump, known best for being a Real Housewife and restauranteur in sunny Beverly Hills, is taking a trip to the Big Apple to host The Ebola concert at the UN on March 2, 2015 (hosted by Union of Sierra Leonean Organizations in New York State). This concert is to raise awareness and resources, to continue the fight against this epidemic. USLO is embarking on the long term approach of helping the surviving kids orphaned by this deadly disease, and to provide health clinics to the various communities of these three countries.
And, Lisa feels strongly about this issue. She advocates, “Instead of being praised and celebrated for overcoming this terrible disease…[they] are being ostracized…from their respective communities.”
Celebrities who have confirmed their attendance or participation in the event include: Billy Gilman, Kelly Bensimon, Cheryl Wills, Jojo Spatafora, Salt and Peppa, Cheik Hamala Diabete, Sona Jobarteh, Lama Sidibe, Lady Felicia and Etana.
With all of this star power present, we expect her adorable pooch, Giggy, to not be far behind. Giggy Vanderpump (short for Gigolo Vanderpump-Todd) is Lisa’s three-pound Pomeranian, and he cannot get any more adorable! Ever since she received him in 2009, Giggy has been permanently attached to Lisa’s hip! However, he is treated like a prince in true Vanderpump fashion. “Giggy is never carried in a pet tote. He doesn’t like it and prefers to be carried. Other than the house and the grounds, he never walks on the ground in public. If we put him in a bag, he will bark … just as he does when we go out and leave him at home with the other dogs. He prefers human company; he prefers to be with us, and we love taking him everywhere,” the pet accessory designer reveals.
Speaking of her line of pet accessories, Vanderpump Pets is all for the welfare of animal-kind. “Vanderpump Pets want all pets to be happy, healthy and in a safe home! Therefore, we donate a PAW-tion of our proceeds to pets in need.” That’s a company to bark about!
