While organizations such as IFAW and WSPA are working hard to help the animals in Haiti, including a $1.1 million dollar pledge with the Haitian government to help their animals, the animals in Chile need help too after the 8.8 magnitude quake in Chile on February 27th.
With an estimated two million people displaced, it is hard to imagine how many animals were left homeless and displaced after the quake. Fortunately IFAW, WSPA and a group called Socorro Animals Chile (SACH) are already taking action.
SACH’s three main goals are to develop temporary shelters and clinics throughout areas devastated by the quake, continue their spay/neuter campaign and to focus on transportation and adoption campaigns.
But SACH cannot do it alone. Visit their Facebook page for information on how to contribute.
