Three-time medal winner in Athens, swimmer Brendan Hansen never thought he would have a dog. “I got stuck in traffic one day so I pulled over to hang out at the pound to see some of the dogs that were there.” At the pound, Hansen met his Maltese/Poodle mix. “I loved his energy and his approach to life so I came back the next day and adopted him.” Although, Henry doesn’t get into the pool with Hansen, he loves eating trash (a bad habit), sleeping on his back, and running around in turbo speed. “My favorite thing about him is he is just so darn happy to be alive and it makes you appreciate each day more than you normally would have. Adopted dogs are awesome!”
