Perez Hilton may not stand on a pedestal in Hollywood. The celebrity blog-artist and television personality (What Perez Sez on VH1) who runs PerezHilton.com, “Hollywood’s most-hated website.” He brings you up to date on the latest celebrity gossip that, let’s face it, our society loves to hear about. His consistently accurate information has spawned a vast audience of roughly seven million hits a day, granting him make-them or break-them capabilities when it comes to Hollywood’s hottest. Behind the self-proclaimed “Queen of all Media,” is the dog of all media, Perez’s pooch Teddy, one of our Most Eligible Pets.
With a dad who knows all about Hollywood, Teddy knows who to associate with and who to stray away from. At the top of the list is Britney Spears. “Britney Spears is the worst celebrity dog owner!” Perez says, adding that the former teen pop sensation treats her dogs like “they’re just another accessory” and does not realize that dogs are “a real commitment.” When Animal Fair asked Perez who was the best dog owner in Hollywood, his answer was a simple and sure: “Betty White.”
Teddy, who got his name from his resemblance to a cuddly teddy bear, is a gem in Perez’s eye. “I typed into Google exactly what I was looking for in a dog, I typed in small, cute and smart, and smart was the key word for me, and this was the first dog that came up.” The result was Teddy, the adorable Mini Goldendoodle that would make Roosevelt himself bark for joy. In Hollywood, Teddy would be like Reese Witherspoon simply because “everybody loves Reese Witherspoon, she’s an Academy Award winner, she’s really talented, really rich, really sweet, and everybody loves her! She’s just adorable!” As for Perez? “I’d describe myself as a penguin. They’re kind of funny and cute and wacky.”
While Teddy is yet to be photographed by the paparazzi, Perez is sure Teddy will “love it.” As for other celebridogs for Teddy to hang out with? “He can hang out with Paris’s dogs. Perez and Paris’s pooches playing together.” So Hollywood’s dogs should beware, be nice to Teddy or you will be yesterday’s news. Talk about an eligible pet!
