Dear Lucky,
I’m a little embarrassed by my unkempt toes. I want to wear my new flip-flops proudly, so what’s a good at-home paw-dicure method for those times I can’t visit my groomer?
Daisy – Valdosta, GA
Hey Daisy!
Start by washing your paws so they’ll be squeaky-clean. Next, dry off and trim your nails. For pads that are too dry, you might want them rubbed with some doggie-friendly natural balm to prevent cracking. If you walk on rough or too-hot surfaces a lot, you should get a pair of booties in addition to your flip-flops, since the booties will offer year-round protection for your paws.
