Mad Men star Jon Hamm has embarked on the last season of AMC’s Emmy award winning hit show Mad Men – airing Sunday nights at 10 P/E! The expected cliffhanger will certainly build with some dogfights between Don Draper (Jon Hamm) and other characters – with rumors barking that someone is going to be knocked off – WOOF!
In real life Jon Hamm and longtime girlfriend Jennifer Westfeldt are always lucky winners when at home with their adopted dog, Cora. The Hollywood power couple, Hamm and Westfeldt, took on the part of puppy parents when rescuing sweet and lovable Cora from the Much Love Animal rescue shelter. Along with other Hollywood celebs Drew Barrymore and Tori Spelling, Hamm and Westfeldt donate their time and sponsor Much Love Animal Rescue, a Los Angeles based non-profit organization dedicated to animal rescue. Hamm commented on adopting Cora, “We went and saw her and fell in love, she’s been in our lives for eight years.”
Hamm considers Cora “daddy’s big little girl”, especially when she visits him at the Mad Men studio set. Westfelt on Cora visiting the actors on set, “… well-loved on set, well-loved by everybody. She’s just a very loved pooch.” And although Cora’s not a stranger to the red carpet, she prefers to spend most of her time at home watching her talented parents in the personal moment.
Off the Mad Men set, Hamm enjoys walking the dog! He remarked (on Cora, not Westfeld), “She runs around at the dog park in Hollywood. The Hollywood dog park is very often a hang out, a hot spot.”
Animal Fair asked “If there is a celebri-pup Cora would have the most fun going on a doggie date with, who would it be?” Hamm’s response was “… Jake Gylenhall’s dog, he has a nice looking German Shepherd.” Westfeldt wholeheartedly recommends getting a dog for those looking for love, “It’s a guy and girl magnet. If you really got a cute great dog, it’s a good conversation starter.”
